“I had been to Bank year's ago for lunch and had enjoyed it. I took several friends for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. The experience was very disappointing. We were called before we went to advise that we needed to account for bad traffic in the city centre and not be late! We were told three times before and during dinner that we needed to be out of our table within two hours. Our starters were good. However, we all ordered steak for main and several of us left some due to the poor quality of the meat. I ordered mine rare and it arrived barely pink. It was replaced but very begrudingly and still wasn't right. For a £20 main course, this isn't really acceptable. The lights are also very bright in Bank, which gives the place a canteen feel and makes it lack atmosphere. I spoke to the manager when I left to give polite and quiet feedback on my experience. His response was to tell me that he had a restaurant full of people who didn't have a problem... We won't go back...”
